Information
The above plaque is located in Trondenes which is close to Harstad in Northern Norway. Harstad was the final port that HMS Acasta and HMS Ardent sailed from before joining up with HMS Glorious in June 1940. 
A memorial service was held in June 2010 at Trondenes Church to mark the 70th anniversary of the sinking of HMS Acasta, HMS Ardent and HMS Glorious. After the service the plaque was unveiled in the presence of relatives, representatives of both the Royal Navy and Royal Norwegian Navy, British Embassy and local dignitaries.
